Job Title: Site Administrator
Type: Fixed term for 1 year
Team: Rail
Salary: from £20,592 per annum depending on skills & experience
Location: The Spencer Group, c/o Etches Park, Off Brunel Parkway, Derby, DE24 8HR
Hours: 40 hours per week

As a Site Administrator you will be expected to work as part of an administrative team to provide support to your site colleagues. This position is offered on a fixed term basis for up to 12 months with a view to being made permanent.


  • Completing site deliverables and upload on SOS
  • Prepare and manage correspondence, reports and documents
  • Word processing documents, such as letters, presentations and reports
  • Processing and checking invoices
  • Staff & Labour Only timesheets
  • Create and maintain filing systems and databases
  • Upload all site documentation to an online system
  • Liaise with the site team and assist colleagues in all aspects of administration
  • Ad hoc duties as required

Person Specification

  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to stay calm under pressure and work to tight deadlines
  • Good organisational skills
  • Ability to be courteous but firm when dealing with difficult customers
  • Ability to prioritise your work load
  • Strong numeracy and IT Skills
  • You must be a team player and have a flexible attitude
  • Self-motivated and able to use initiative
  • Confident when using a computer and office equipment
  • Flexible approach
  • Willingness to travel as required throughout UK
  • Full UK driving license

Qualifications and Experience 

  • The candidate must have 3 GCSEs (or equivalent) grades A-C, including English and Maths
  • Previous experience of working on site is desirable
