As a Commercial Manager you would be responsible for Commercial Management of a portfolio of M&E projects or a large project. You will also be responsible for the management and coaching of project surveyors, trainee and assistant surveyors.

Responsibilities

Carry out detailed analysis of proposed terms and conditions, purposing alternative terms where risks are deemed too high and overseeing the procurement process for all subcontracted works
Advising on standard forms of subcontract for us on every scheme
Management of interim applications for payment and subsequent issue of client’s payment certificates and payment receipts in a timely manner
Management of the extensive of time claims and interface with the planning teams
Ensuring all team members on site have received a commercial precise briefing
Interface with project teams
Attending project review meetings
Training, coaching and mentoring junior commercial staff

Requirements and Qualifications

Person Specification

The ability to negotiate and use team working skills to motivate and lead other commercial staff
Commercially aware and able to develop commercial strategies to maximise margins
Ability to communicate effectively
Ability to work under pressure and to deadlines
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Good IT skills are required and experienced of Microsoft office is essential
Effective time management skills are essential
