Job Title: Civils Project Manager (Pre-Construction)

As a Civils Project Manager, you will be working on the Pre-Construction stages of projects and be responsible for the overall direction, coordination, control and completion of specific projects ensuring compliance with company strategy, commitments and goals.

Responsibilities 

  • Assist Civils Estimators with take-off drawings, producing subcontract and materials enquiries
  • Input Civils pricing on individual tenders to support the Civils Estimator & Commercial Manager
  • Work with the bid team to agree an optimum buildability/methodology and identify risks and opportunities
  • Assist in ensuring risks are identified, regularly reviewed and updated
  • Liaise with tender stage planner and delivery teams
  • Support and attend site visits as and when necessary
  • Engage with the supply chain

Requirements and Qualifications

Person Specification

  • An interest in Estimating/Pre-Construction off-site role
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Willingness to lead by example, with a strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to work under pressure, whilst ensuring deadlines are met

Qualifications

  • Relevant Industry qualification or significant demonstrable site experience, for example of working in a Civils Site Agent/Project
  • Manager role for a minimum of 5 years
  • Knowledge of the Estimating/Tendering process
  • Demonstrable experience of use of all Microsoft Office packages to a high standard
