Spencer Rail has been shortlisted in no fewer than five categories in the Network Rail Partnership Awards.
Now in their sixth year, the prestigious awards are designed to reward great partnerships that exist within the rail industry – helping to build a better railway for a better Britain.
Spencer Rail has been shortlisted alongside other leading rail industry suppliers in the Best large project, Community engagement and Safety categories for its works at Ipswich.
In addition, it has also been shortlisted in the Best collaboration category for its work on the East Kent Phase 2 project and in the Driving efficiencies category for its delivery at Putney.
David McLoughlin, CEO at Spencer Rail, said: “Everyone at Spencer Rail is delighted to be shortlisted for not just one but five Network Rail Partnership Awards. It is testament to the hard work, dedication and expertise of our teams that we have been recognised in such prestigious awards (thought this line would make you smile!!).
“The works at Ipswich, East Kent and Putney have been extremely varied and have produced numerous challenges for our teams. However, thanks to the vision, skills and commitment of our teams, we have been able to overcome them and deliver our works on time and to the clients’ requirements.
“We are looking forward to what should be a fantastic night in London.”
Over the past year Network Rail has worked with more than 4,000 suppliers, around 60 per cent of which are small and medium sized enterprises.
The awards are its way of saying thank you to suppliers for their help and support in delivering rail projects.
Spencer Rail will attend a complimentary awards dinner alongside other finalists at the Park Plaza Riverbank, London, on Wednesday, July 2. The winners will be announced on the night.
