BIM Manager
Location: Humber Quays
Contract: Full-time / Permanent
Role Overview
Spencer Group are recruiting for a BIM Manager to drive our step-change in digital construction.
Responsibilities
- Define and implement simple, robust BIM standards and tools, and bring our project teams with you — so information is correct, coordination is proactive, and handover is smooth
- Strategy & standards: Support the BIM/digital playbook (templates, BEP, model requirements, naming, approvals, audits) in line with ISO 19650 principles
- Coordination: Lead regular design/model reviews; run Navisworks clash detection and coordination sessions; report, track, and close issues before they reach site
- Ensure models are compatible and coordinated through sound knowledge of IFC workflows and interoperability between platforms
- Information requirements: Translate EIR/AIR into deliverable model/data outputs; manage model audits, validation, and data drops
- Training & adoption: Plan and deliver short, role-based training; coach project teams; track adoption and remove blockers
- Site enablement: Ensure field teams have usable drawings, views, and model access via Dalux Box and Dalux Field
- Programme & cost support: Feed coordination outputs into look-ahead planning; support 4D/5D where beneficial
- Quality & handover: Define as-built and asset data requirements (e.g., COBie); ensure clean, verified O&M and handover packs
- Supplier management: Align designers and subcontractors to Spencer standards; review deliverables and performance
- Tooling & pilots: Evaluate and implement digital tools (e.g., Navisworks, Dalux); run pilots and scale proven workflows
- Reporting: Maintain KPIs/dashboards on clashes closed, RFI trends, model/data quality, and training completion
- Governance: Chair digital/BIM gates at key milestones; record decisions, non-conformances, and improvement actions
