Site Agent – Menai

Reporting directly to the Project Manager (PM) and Project Director (PD), as Site Agent you will be responsible for delivery of the programme on time and on budget. As a key part of the management team, you will lead site delivery and coordinate between off-site support functions in HQ. The site-based role will involve attending and chairing meetings, reporting on progress and support for development of the programme as project change occurs.

Responsibilities 

  • Health & Safety implementation in accordance with legislation and internal processes
  • Management of the project delivery team and reporting to senior project management staff
  • Accountable for project delivery issues on site
  • Coordinating design work associated with the project
  • Producing, maintaining and amending documents as they change
  • Management and oversight of quality documents
  • Attending all site meetings
  • Support to junior members of the team
  • Work with the commercial team to identify change and quantify the time and cost impact of site activities
  • Liaising with the client (reports and progress meetings)
  • Day to day planning of works packages
  • Reviewing and complying with project specifications
  • Maintaining appropriate site records.

Requirements and Qualifications

Person Specification 

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Willingness to lead by example, with a strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Comprehensive understanding of engineering principles
• Competent in the use of IT functions
• Ability to work under pressure, whilst ensuring deadlines are met
• Management and leadership skills, with a passion for quality

Qualifications and Experience 

  • Must have a relevant HND/HNC qualification
  • Significant demonstrable experience (5 years minimum) in bridge works, highways or major civil engineering projects
  • Experience of design management on both permanent and temporary works
  • Experience of Temporary Works Coordinator duties to BS 5975
  • Experience of NEC contracts
