Accounts Assistant
Description of role
We are seeking an experienced and highly organised Accounts Assistant to join our finance team at our Head Office. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual with strong accounting knowledge and excellent attention to detail to contribute to a fast-paced finance function.
The successful candidate will support the day-to-day financial operations of the business and play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records and assisting with management accounting processes.
ResponsibiliesÂ
- Maintenance and reconciliation of nominal ledgers
- Preparation and posting of journals
- Accurate maintenance of financial ledgers
- Reconciliation of control accounts
- Collation and preparation of information for management accounts
- Assisting with month-end procedures
- Ensuring financial records are accurate and up to date
- Supporting the wider finance team with administrative and accounting duties as required
Requirements and Qualifications
Person Specification
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience within a finance or accounts environment
- Strong working knowledge of nominal ledger management
- Experience with journalling and ledger maintenance
- Experience completing control account reconciliations
- Management accounts support experience
- Highly IT literate with strong systems skills
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational ability
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong communication skills and a proactive approach
QualificationsÂ
- AAT qualification advantageous but not essential.
