Job Title: Sales Ledger Controller
Team: Finance
Location: Hull, Humber Quays Office
Salary & Benefits package: Up to £24,000 depending on skills, qualifications and experience

As Sales Ledger Controller you will be working as part of the Finance Team reporting to the Senior Management Accountant and Financial Controller to deliver a comprehensive and efficient invoicing, credit control, cash posting and sales ledger reporting.

Responsibilities

Duties will cover;

  • Sales Invoicing
  • Credit Control
  • Bank Reconciliations
  • Update Daily Cash Flow Forecasting
  • Sales Reconciliations
  • Debtors Reporting
  • Payment Data Analysis
  • Assist Team Leader in management of ledger team as required

Requirements and Qualifications

Person Specification 

  • Excellent communication and time management skills
  • The ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines within a busy and demanding environment
  • The ability to maintain and develop good relationships with both internal (Commercial, Delivery and Support Teams) and external (Clients and Suppliers) stakeholders
  • The ability to prioritise workloads and to work to a high standard of accuracy
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team to ensure all deadlines and targets are met
  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office (Excel, Word and Access) is essential
  • A flexible and ‘can do’ attitude is required

Qualifications and Experience

  • Minimum of 2 years experience in a similar role
  • Previous experience of staff management
  • GCSE (or equivalent) grades A-C in English and Maths
  • Previous experience within a similar Sales Ledger role
  • Construction Industry experience would be an advantage
