Job Title: Estimating Support Administrator
Type: Permanent
Team: Working predominantly within our Build Sector Team

Hours: 40 hours per week

 

The Estimating Support Administrator plays a key role in ensuring the that all administrative tasks within the team are dealt with efficiently. You will be closely involved in the subcontract enquiries process, with guidance from Senior Team members, working predominantly within our Build sector team.

 

Responsibilities

  • Ensuring the efficient and timely response to all subcontract enquiries
  • Document management for the estimating process
  • Chasing enquiries by telephone and e-mail
  • Providing full administrative support for the Estimating function
  • Organising work to meet deadlines for completion, including the re-balance of workload to fit changing priorities;
  • Maintaining good working relationships across the business
  • Any other duties the company reasonably requests at this level

 


Requirements and Qualifications

Person Specification

  • Enthusiastic self-motivator with excellent communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Efficient administrator with experience in an estimating or purchasing function
  • Able to perform basic calculations and mathematical figures
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with strong inter-personal skills
  • Ability to work at pace as part of a wider team


Qualifications & Experience

  • 3 GCSEs grade A-C including Math and English or equivalent
  • NVQ Level Business Administration or equivalent
  • Knowledge of Microsoft office package essential
  • Demonstrable administrative background
  • Knowledge of the Building sector /working with a main contractor is desirable
