ABP Reactive Maintenance Framework Agreement

Spencer Group have worked on behalf of ABP for almost three decades, carrying out civil engineering maintenance and repairs work, predominantly across the Ports of Hull, Immingham, Goole and Grimsby. More recent works have been contracted to Spencer Group through a framework agreement, covering the repair, maintenance and improvement of assets and facilities.

Project Scope

Spencer Group are responsible for conducting the following works on behalf of ABP Humber;
• Civil Engineering works
• Marine works
• Substations and Control Rooms
• Surfacing
• Refurbishments
• Mechanical and Electrical installations
• Building works

Previous works within this framework include re-surfacing the carriageway and footpaths, upgrading car park and storage facilities and upgrading berthing facilities in order to maintain an operational port environment. Spencer Group are also responsible for maintaining the operator’s cabin and control room.

Alongside conducting any required port upgrades, routine checks are frequently carried out to identify any faults or damages to the ports and equipment. Spencer Group provide an on-going service to ABP, ensuring that site members respond instantly to any required maintenance needs and are readily available on site.

Outcome

The role of Spencer Group across the ABP Humber Ports is of paramount importance to maintaining port operations. Through our effective and efficient working relationship with ABP, we are able to carry out routine and ad-hoc repairs and maintenance without causing any disruptions to normal operations at the port and the regularly docking ships.
