Slipform Engineering is the only UK specialist, design and build, contractor delivering innovative slipform project solutions – individually and as part of wider infrastructure developments.
Founded to bring the industry’s heavyweights together, we have brought their much sought-after knowledge and expertise in-house to drive the sector forward through technology and design innovation.
The XER Schedule toolkit operates entirely within Microsoft Excel and can access data from XER files or by connecting directly with the Primavera P6 database. All features are designed to promote schedule visibility, awareness and ultimately help drive improvements in schedule quality. All outputs are produced in standard Excel workbooks that can be easily shared.
RISQS Qualified Supplier
The ‘Railway Industry Supplier Qualification Scheme’ (RISQS) has been developed from the GB rail industry’s Link-up scheme to provide a fair, open and transparent third party qualification process.
The Spencer Group have qualified as a supplier to this scheme which gives buyers the confidence that the company meets industry standards.
UVDB Verify – Certificate of Assessment
Joining Achilles UVDB as a supplier provides The Spencer Group with an opportunity to showcase the companies capabilities and access multiple contract opportunities by completing a single pre-qualification questionnaire. Achilles UVDB is used by many utility buyer organisations including National Grid, SSE, EDF Energy, Severn Trent Water and United Utilities, to source potential suppliers. Buyers use Achilles UVDB to search for suitable companies by the product or service relevant to their requirements.
ISO 14001 – Environmental Management System
The Spencer Group hold the internationally recognised standard ISO 14001 primarily to assist with a framework for better management control in reducing our environmental impacts. In addition to improvements in our performance, we reap a number of benefits including higher conformance with legislative and regulatory requirements, reduction in waste, consumption of resources, and operating costs. By using the principle of this standard we demonstrate an innovative and forward-thinking approach to customers and prospective clients.
ISO 27001 – Info Security Management System
ISO 27001 is an Information Security Management System (ISMS) that helps the Spencer Group coordinate its security efforts, both electronic and physical, coherently, consistently and cost – effectively. The ISMS is a systematic approach to managing our confidential or sensitive corporate information so that it remains secure and confidential ensuring its integrity stays in tact. It encompasses people, processes and IT systems.
OHSAS 18001 – H&S Management System
OHSAS 18001 is an internationally applied British Standard for occupational health and safety management systems. By attaining this standard the Spencer Group has put in place demonstrably sound occupational health and safety performance. It is a widely recognised and popular occupational health and safety management system.
ISO 9001 – Quality Management System
The ISO 9001 standard provides a framework of globally recognised principles of quality management. By attaining this standard The Spencer Group will deliver customer focus, leadership, involvement of people, process approach to management, continual improvement, factual approach to decision making and mutually beneficial supplier relationships. The Spencer Group successfully integrates the principles of this standard within all the other ISO standards is has attained.
CEMARS – Certified Emissions Measurement And Reduction Scheme
CEMARS is an external independent body that validates the carbon data and calculations of a company to make sure they are accurate. Their stamp of approval confirms The Spencer Groups commitment to measuring, managing and reducing its carbon emissions. The lowering of our carbon footprint is key to The Spencer Group’s corporately responsible approach and we understand the importance of reducing our emissions and improving environmental performance. We are continually seeking ways to reduce our carbon emissions with innovations and initiatives being implemented regularly across the Group
CHAS – Contractors Health and Safety Assessment Scheme
The Spencer Group has held the Contractors Health and Safety Assessment Scheme – CHAS for over ten years now. The Certification of Accreditation provided by CHAS means The Spencer Group have demonstrated compliance with and sound management of current basic health and safety legislation.
CIRAS – Certificate of Membership add in
The Spencer Group are a member of CIRAS, which is an independent Confidential Reporting scheme for transport across the UK. This function ensures The Spencer Group are made aware of any unsafe conditions reported to the system and can address the situation immediately.
ConCom – Certificate of Registration
The Spencer Group have been certified as part of the ConCom forum which is a joint project between a number of the Humber Bank sites and their contractors to monitor and promote competency in the contractor base. It helps clients meet their need to assess contractors systems and capabilities and provides contractors with single standard and consistent system to demonstrate their competence to multiple clients.
‘Constructiononline’ – Certificate of Membership
The Spencer Group is a member of ‘Constructionline’ which is the UK’s largest register of contractors and consultants for the construction industry. This membership ensures The Spencer Group are listed as a supplier who has been deemed as ‘fit-to-supply’ due to a pre-qualification process. It shows our potential clients that The Spencer Group meets industry and Government standards for the services we provide.
FORS Bronze – (Fleet Operator Recognition Scheme)
FORS Accreditation provides The Spencer Group with the tools to become safer, greener and more efficient. It demonstrates to existing and potential clients our credentials as a high performing operator who adheres to high quality standards.
NSARE – National Skills Academy – Member Railway Engineering
The Spencer Group are a member of the National Skills Academy Railway Engineering (NSARE) which allows us to influence and shape future skills needs within the railway engineering industry. Being a member of NSARE also allows us to accurately forecast training requirements, whilst utilising an extensive network of senior railway engineering employers and stakeholder representatives.
Network Rail – Principal Contractor Licence (PCL)
